Whole30

First time I did Whole30 was July 2011 where I documented 99% of every single meal that I had during the Challenge and since it’s pretty hard to navigate through the blog to search for the posts, I’ve organized my first Whole30 experience on this single page. You’re welcome.

My first Whole30 review.

Hi! I have noticed a continuous theme of steaming meats in a lot of your posts, do you just lay parchment in the base of a steamer and go for it? How do you calculate cook time etc? I am just curious as to the reason behind this method for cooking, thanks! :)

      Hi,

I lined my steamer with a paper towel but actually it’s not really necessary. I usually steam any bone-in meat prior roasting them in the oven because it’ll ensure the meat will cook evenly since the internal temperature would be warm enough. Besides I prefer this method better than leaving the raw meat to reach room temperature on the counter in fear of bacterial growth. As the rule of thumb, I usually steam them for about 20-25 minutes (counting after the water starts boiling).

      Hope this helps :)
