I literally lost my voice today thanks to the sore throat that started from yesterday. But the good news is my throat is no longer sore today, just I have that phlegm that’s blocking my voice box. *sigh*

So I’ve been drinking lots of lemon and Chinese herb sore throat syrup to soothe it up.

For sure I didn’t want to miss my workout for today. It’s always feel good to sweat it out a bit. I was debating whether I should take a day rest today but physically I felt fine so I just did it.

Breakfast today surely made me happy.

I was happy that I won Make It Paleo from Civilized Caveman Cooking Giveaway! πŸ˜€

Finally, Hubby K would have a Paleo cookbook reference so hopefully he could cook more variety of Paleo friendly dishes other than the usual chicken and ground beef which we’ve been having for the past 2-3 weeks. LOL

I also can’t wait to try out some of the recipes in there! The photography is just AMAZING!

After admiring the book for a good 1 hour, I got busy in the kitchen doing lots of batch cooking. I’d say I spent about 2 hour cooking 3-4 dishes that’ll last at least 2-3 meals.

This Hearty Lamb Stew surely the big winner of the day.

But the Chicken with Pumpkin Ginger Gravy that I made the day before wasn’t fall behind either. In fact, this dish lasted until tomorrow!

Rather than having the usual plain steamed veggies, I made Braised Cabbage ala Nom Nom Paleo, cooked with bacon grease and topped with bacon bits. πŸ™‚ Super good!


Since there were still a bit of bacon grease on the skillet (didn’t wanna waste them away!), I stir-fried the remaining cabbage and carrots, topped with bacon bits as well.

And just by cooking those (and the Hearty Lamb Stew), I already finished an entire cabbage head.

Ah, good thing this blog won’t reflect how my voice sounds like now..so coarse and scratchy…
