A Good Feeling
Thank you all for all the wonderful comments from my last post!! So basically we all do not like to be commented on our appearance/weight since it’s such a sensitive subject. Of course if it’s something that’s totally bizarre then it should be ok to bring it up but still it depends on each individual.
Anyway, let me tell you something: today I felt TONS BETTER than yesterday (yay!)
I woke up early again this morning to “test drive” my commute to work by taking public transportation. Yeah I know it sounds crazy for me to do these but trust me, I’d rather be over-prepared than under prepared. It was a bit tight in the morning that I actually had to run out from the house carrying my breakfast to go (pieces of cooked chicken breasts), a cup of hot tea and 2 pieces of Dark Chocolate Nut Cookies.
Since I didn’t get up as early as yesterday, I did my workout after I came back. Thanks for getting enough sleep, I felt amazing today and felt tons better after the workout.
Lunch/Post workout meal: steamed veggies, 2 pieces of Breaded Fried Chicken Fingers, Braised Salmon and Eggplant Zucchini Tagliatelle and 1/2 of baked sweet potatoes.
Then I cooked this entire kabocha that I bought couple days ago in a pressure cooker for 20 minutes. Holy moly, pressure cooker surely makes everything cooks fast in a short time. I could even peel the skins using my bare hands easily. Imagine trying to cut raw kabocha (read: nightmare)
Scraped off the seeds and roasted them in the oven for about 1 hour in 200°F! 😀
In the past, I’d just toss the seeds away but now I know better.
Dinner was pretty similar with lunch, just added some kabocha pieces
Oh btw I bought this HUGE avocado from Sprouts Market today!
Apparently it’s grown in Florida. An old lady told me that the avocado is tasteless and not as good as the small Hass avocados from California. Hmm…
Well it was on sale 4 for $5 so I took one and will find out after it’s ripe. In fact, this huge smooth skin avocado reminds me how avocados looked like when I was in Indonesia. Will the taste be as good as those? I’ll find out.
Btw any of you have tried Florida avocados? Tell me how does it compare with Hass avocado.

Wow, you just cooked the entire kabocha squash? I’ve never tried that! And wow, that’s really a HUGE avocado! 😯 (Love the phone “scale”.;)) I’ve never compared different kinds of avocado, though, we only have the small, knobbly ones here.
Haha yup, I cooked the entire thing in the pressure cooker! So easy! 😀
