Why I am Not Watching the Olympics 2012
It’s already Sunday and as usual I just hate it when weekend is ending. But on the brighter side, the week goes so fast and before I know it, another weekend is here again.
I know the Olympics 2012 is going on now but truth to be told I haven’t watched a single of them. And here are why:
Speaking of nut butter, I had some leftover sunbutter in my fridge and created this super nutty yummy Spicy Squash Noodles π
Bought yam leaves and made a stir-fry – SUPER GOOD. I think I’m going to buy more of these. Need to expand my veggie horizon here!
Made Beef tendon and brisket stew which turned out super watery more like a soup (DOH) Still yummy though!
Since I didn’t want to waste the sauce, I just made Chinese Eggplant Stew. YUM! Very easy and effortless. No need added seasonings since the sauce itself is pretty tasty already.
Been enjoying summer fruits!
Hubby K made Oxtail Soup to share with his family. It was a big hit and everyone loved it!
Bought 2 free range/pastured raise chicken from local Ranch 99 Market (They are labeled as Brown Chicken). I’m going to steam this. The only spice I had? Just rub it with salt. One thing to know if the chicken is truly free range is by cooking it this way.
If you wonder if I actually eat the head and feet – um not quite. I cut those parts off and will use them to make bone broth. No part got wasted here!
I’ve been pretty good sticking to my own workout schedule to the T π
It surely good to set my own workout routine, taking rest day whenever I feel like.
So are those good enough reason for me not watching the Olympics 2012? Don’t get me wrong, I actually would love watching the Olympics, but sometimes I have my priorities.
Which sport do you like to watch during the Olympics? I personally enjoy badminton (because my home country used to be number 1 at those..but who knows now), gymnastics and maybe diving.

hi jos! I think something going on with Disqus on your other blog, can’t even log on over there!
did zwow 28 exactly the same as you! lol
I’m going to try that 100 workout too!
love seeing what you eat even though most of the time it scares me! lol
Hmm I just checked and it seems fine. Sorry maybe Disqus was acting up earlier.
LOL…now I wonder which part of my eats that scare you? π Sorry about that
Is there a recipe for nutty yummy spicy squash noodles? or a list of ingredients, ’cause they look yummy!
It’s sort of similar to this recipe: http://delightfultastebuds.com/2012/01/08/naughty-nutty-noodles/ but simpler…I used zucchini and squash instead of cabbage, using vegetable peeler to cut them. And I use salt to draw all the water out from the cut up zucchini/squash, rinse and pat dry. For nut butter, you could use any of your favorite nut butter π
I’ve never been in a Ranch 99 Market but just found out that there is one in the Atlanta area…can’t wait to check it out, and see if I can get a chicken like that!
Cool! Just look out for the bagged chicken that’s marked “Brown Chicken.” Trust me, the taste is very different from those regular chicken and this chicken taste is the same taste that I knew when I was eating chicken back in Southeast Asia a while back.
!!! don’t think i’ve ever bought a chicken with the head/feet still attached lol!
LOL that’s Asian thing..we eat everything…waste not, want not! I know it might be uncomfortable pulling out a dead chicken still with its head and feet attached!
