After Some Blogging Breaks
Hey all, I’d like to THANK YOU for all the great comments at my last post and I’d say that’s the post with the best comments I ever got π
I took off from working out this weekend so my workouts were merely 15 minute walk under sunshine in the morning to soak up some Vitamin D. I also refrained from using any sunblocks and just applied some coconut oil on my face and skin. Plus some burpees for Erin, a fellow bodyrocker who’s currently battling her cancer and we from Bodyrock.tv community are going to devote at least 1 burpee towards her! π If you want to read more about her story, click here!
Also if you noticed, I finally installed Disqus commenting system on my blog and LOVE IT! I could reply to the comments thru my email and it gets posted on the comment thread AND the commenter also gets the reply in his/her email as well! How cool is that?! Plus I got NO MORE SPAM comments as I experienced in the past while I was still using WP commenting system. It’s pretty annoying to see my inbox was overflowing with bunch of comments that need to be approved and only to find out they were MOSTLY SPAMS!
Ok enough ranting about techie stuff. So have you been wondering what I’ve been up to for the past 2-3 days? I could assure you my meals are still strictly adhere to Paleo Whole30 style and seriously I could never think of cheating! It just becomes so natural to me to stick to this kind of eating style!
I made whole rotisserie chicken seasoned with my homemade Sunny Herb Seasonings which turned out SUPER GREAT!
I made Savory Breakfast Crepes yesterday which turned out great that I devoured at least 3-4 crepes!
Plus I finally got my hands on some 100% Grass-Fed Ground bison meat, which was on sale at Henry’s Market until 8/16/11! It was $7.49/lbs! The regular price usually around $10/lbs so this is a good news to me! π
I simply cooked it with my Homemade Tomato Sauce to make meat sauce!
Bison/buffalo meat tastes SO DELICIOUS! It’s pretty similar to beef but it has more sweetness, like how meat taste supposed to be! The closest I could say it tastes pretty much like grass-fed beef. It’s also very lean and high in Omega-3 as well! I didn’t even put any salt except some garlic powder and black pepper to the meat. After it cooked, I just dumped the tomato sauce and mixed thoroughly. I definitely be back to Henry’s Market this coming Wednesday to stock up more bison meat!
But I might stock up on other game meat as well since they are all on SALE for $7.49 until this Wednesday! π
What’s your favorite spice mixture for cooking game meats?

Oh deliciousness! All of those meals look absolutely wonderful. I also just love seeing what other people eat, and especially their portion sizes. I hope that doesn’t sound bizarre! It’s just that on month three of Paleo, I’m still trying to understand that I actually don’t need that much food anymore. Fat is wonderful!
I totally agree! Prior paleo, I used to graze the whole day while now 3 solid square meals are good enough!
I come to experience the same: that Paleo eating feels more and more like my natural way of eating, now that I got used to it. It makes me feel like myself. π
Definitely get some game meat! Wild boar and venison are fab! π
I totally can’t wait to get those game meat as well! π Only ground ones though.
i’m so jealous! i love bison but it is so freaking expensive here! i bought some trader joe’s grassfed beef this week on sale and cooked it up for a couple lunches. i’m doing really well on the whole30. i did have some goat milk ice cream (to celebrate a big life event on my day 8) but i figured i’d roll on and stick to the plan the rest of the time and so far so good! i usually season game meats depending on how strong their flavor. for venison or beef i go simple salt, pepper & roasted garlic but for lamb i love rosemary/thyme.
Yeah bison meat is expensive here as well. I found out some farmer’s market that sells bison meat – the cheapest is the ground meat which is $10/lbs.
