Isn’t that the most wonderful birthday “cake” ever? Indeed to me. Big thanks to my friend, J who assembled it. And I would like to share this birthday “cake” with my hubby, whose birthday also in April and of course my beloved trainer, Zuzana Light (today is her actual birthday)

I had a great birthday dinner yesterday with my friends and I totally enjoyed the time catching up with them. It was a smaller group than our usual gathering but we totally enjoyed our time.

We dined at Arte Cafe, a small French restaurant which I went a while back.

We ordered 2 appetizers:
Ahi Tartar and Avocado Tower in Sweet Chili Sauce

I am not a big raw fish eater so I only took a little bite sans the crispy chips. The taste was ok but I didn’t care for the raw fish texture.

Cajun Shrimp with Mushrooms, Tomatoes and Scampi Butter

This one was quite delicious with a nice balance between sweet and a bit of spicy. Totally brought up the appetite.

I ordered the same entree dish as last time: Grilled Lamb Chops Prepared with a Mint Ginger Honey Sauce, subbed the mashed potatoes with all veggies.

Ironically, the dish appeared a bit differently from what I’ve remembered. Here’s the photo evidence:

Maybe they have a different chef now.

Lastly but not least, Happy Blogversary to this blog. 🙂
