March Challenge
Happy Leap Day! How did you enjoy the extra day in February?
I usually don’t update my blog during weekday but when I was on the train on my way home from work, an idea suddenly popped in my head.
What if I’m starting my own March Challenge?
So here’s the deal. For 30 days in March (technically there are 31 days in March but 30 sounds better than 31), I will do at least one workout challenge (could be just a simple squat, push ups, burpees, sandbag exercises etc). Since my 50 Burpees for 50 Days Challenge is almost over (I’m currently on Day 44!), I think I want to start to do a mini exercise challenge that I could do quickly after I come back home in case I didn’t have time in the morning to do a full workout.
How many reps/sets/time am I supposed to perform those challenges? Well this is why it’s called March Challenge. All reps/sets/time will revolve around number 3. So it could be 30 reps, 30 seconds, 3 sets of 5 reps, 3 minutes, 3 rounds of a circuit etc. If you’re super tough you could do pyramid 30-1 😀
Tomorrow is March 1 and here’s my planned workout:
3×5 (3 sets of 5 reps) for each of this exercise:
Push Up
Jump Tuck
Sandbag curls (with 25lbs sandbag)
Sumo Squat Pulses
And depending on my time in the morning, I might do 50 Burpees of the day afterward or if not, I will do it after I got home from work.
The sample above is more like a full workout. A mini exercise challenge would look something like 3 minutes push ups, 3 sets of 5 pistols etc.
And I simply loved tonight’s dinner, Salmon with Lemon Date sauce (similar recipe as Lemon Date Chicken)
I’m pretty excited to do this challenge. It’s also another way for me to create my own workout, which is something that I haven’t really done before.
Have a great night! Weekend is almost here!

Your “March Challenge” idea sounds fantastic, great job! During the last month, I’ve been putting together my own workouts. I like to spread them between study hours that way I can take a break from the books and exercise while doing it.
I you don’t mind, I will incorporate the 50 burpees for 50 days Challenge into my routine! 🙂
Thanks for the motivation and the great food ideas!
i really enjoy making my own workouts! it keeps it fresh and also i don’t feel so bad if i have to cut it short due to lack of time in the morning!
