It’s almost Christmas Day, how’s everyone doing? Got any interesting plans for celebrating Christmas? For me it might be just dinner with in-laws on Sunday Saturday, which typically also part of our weekly family gathering although I don’t usually go there that often.

Anyway, it’s holiday season and it also means TONS of sweet temptations here and there. My workplace is included as well, despite being a health and wellness company. To top it all, an empty desk behind me is now serving as table of sweetness from various gift baskets from our vendors, building management etc. Can you imagine sitting for 9 hours a day, 4 days a week with all these stuff behind you all the time?

You’d think you’ll feel sorry for me for having all those temptations so close to me but among everyone in the office, I’d say I’m the only one who almost doesn’t have anything. See that I emphasized the word “almost” because I did try some of the treats. I had a small bite of the kettlecorn, which surprisingly were cooked in coconut oil and I’d devour that thing if only it wasn’t doused in sugar. Also I took a little bite of some chocolate toffee bacon which was a big turn off for me which also explained why I rather steer clear from all these sweets.

For me not having major sweet tooth might help me not having to fight temptations to have those but at the same time since I’ve been eaten pretty clean for such a long time, my taste buds don’t even crave those sweet junks anymore. I’d happily enjoy all these foods instead:

Chicken and sweet potatoes curry stew
Breakfast doesn't always involve eggs even though I love them! Here's skipjack wild caught tuna with avocado doused with fresh lemon from my colleague's backyard.
One of my lunch meal: steamed veggies with steak, chicken and fish cakes (the odd looking ones)
My new obsession: cheesy omelet although I have to take it easy as my guts wasn't exactly happy with cheese
And who said you can only have bacon and eggs for breakfast? I had this for my dinner and it was YUMMY~!
And yes I still have bacon and eggs for breakfast as well..even better all fried in bacon grease including the sweet potatoes!

Recently I am in love with apple slices doused in almond butter.
For some reason my body craves this more than sweet cookies or chocolates.

When in a pinch, I always have this handy Paleo-friendly snacks in my bag all the time. I love Primal Pacs jerky (and the nuts)!

And finally, after seeing this most recent progress pictures that I took, I’m even more determined to stick with my clean eating habit and working out consistently- although I have to admit I’ve been a little bit slacking off on the exercise part. At least food-wise I’m still good!

That being said I don’t mind to go off the rail a bit on Christmas day though as long it’s worth it!

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays! Be safe and be merry! 🙂
