Some Addictions
Happy Friday everyone! Can’t believe next week would be a Thanksgiving week already and after that November will be OVER! Whew time totally flies!
I don’t really have much food pictures instead of the ones that I took today because most of the dishes of this week were pretty much made on the fly and won’t be too interesting to be put anyway. Besides you can always go to my Whole30 post if you like to see what I typically eat day to day 🙂
So today I started off my day with Mark’s Daily Apple WOW (Workout of the Week) Unilateral Engagement. It was a nice change to do a little different type of workout from Bodyrock.tv Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE Bodyrock.tv but once in a while I need to shake things up a bit!
Post WO snack was the usual sweet potato and after I showered, I devoured this plate of goodness for breakfast.
Can you tell that I’m totally addicted to fried eggs in coconut oil for breakfast? It becomes a luxury for me to have this as I usually have cold breakfast when I go to work during weekday. *sigh*
Then I spent the entire morning and late afternoon working in front of my laptop, trying to enjoy this as much as possible since starting next year, they won’t allow us to work from home anymore on Fridays (boo!) although we will still get half day working on Fridays as we already working 9 hours from Mondays-Thursdays. The thought of commuting 30 miles just for 4 hours of work doesn’t sound too appealing to me.
Last week I bought a kabocha squash and finally I got a chance to roast them today! To save my lazy ass of cutting and peeling it off, I dumped the entire thing into pressure cooker for a good 5 minutes to soften it up bit.
When the skin was soft, it was a breeze to peel and cut. After tossed them in a good amount of coconut oil, a bit of salt and pepper, I baked them for 30 minutes in 400°F.
Let me tell you, I ATE MORE kabocha squash that what’s shown in the picture. After I finished my lunch, I kept munching on them until I realized I was so stuffed and I ended up not having dinner at all. Kabocha squash (the roasted ones especially) has become my Kryptonite (hey it starts off with K as well!). I might have to go easy on this thing…if I want to be super technical, I might devour at least HALF of the squash in one sitting!
Also, my other addiction? This Paleo Krunch Cereals from Steve’s Original!
The taste totally reminds me of those granola bars that I used to like! Anything crunchy and not overly sweet is totally my addiction! Can you believe I could actually finish the entire container in one sitting? *sigh*
I might need a therapy.
Any food that you’re totally addicted to it that you might have to go easy on them?
Have a great weekend!

oh i totally agree about kabocha! i had to take a time out with it last year because my palms were turning yellow/orange haha! i’ve only eaten 1-2 of them this season so far, i’ve been enjoying parsnips and sweet potatoes lately :)i cut my bodyrocking down to 2x weekly and have been doing a lot more yoga. i felt like i was as strong as i wanted to be and desired the therapeutic and healing feelings i get after a nice yoga session during this stressful time of year!
LOL, seriously? Exactly how many kabocha did you eat last year that caused you turned yellow/orange? 😀 Speaking of which, I should add some yoga into my routine again to shake things up a bit 😛
