My day wasn’t exactly started off in a good way. Not something that serious, but I was a little down that I didn’t beat my old PR. The only consolation I had was either I miscounted last time or I already maxed out my effort on this workout.

Oh well, nothing stopped me for enjoying my post workout meal/breakfast.

I had to go to downtown LA for an in person interview, which unlike my previous ones, this one was actually with the employer instead of recruiter. Overall the interview went pretty well. I met with 4 people and they seemed pretty laid back and fun to work with. The only small concern I have might be the commute (around 30 miles one way PLUS LA busy traffic hours) but I won’t let it cloud my judgement. Besides, it’s not like I’ll be the chosen one (although in the back of my mind, I secretly hope so!) Fingers crossed. I’m excited but at the same time I’m a bit worried. Oh well as usual, that’s my personality, always thinking into something way too much.

Anyway, both Hubby K and I didn’t have any lunch and I munched least 3 small Dark Chocolate Almond Bars that I made yesterday. DANG, those stuff are like a crack to me! Very addicting. They actually helped keeping me full for the entire afternoon until the time we drove back home.

After a long drive, I didn’t feel like cooking for dinner, so we stopped by at Crazy Chicken to pick up our dinner using the coupon. Without the coupon, these 10 pieces of flame grilled chicken could cost $12! The coupon saved us $2! Yay for frugality! πŸ˜€

Then I pan grilled some zucchini in coconut oil, seasoned with some black peppers, steamed some bok choy, cut up an avocado, my dinner was ready under 15 minutes!

We both were pretty hungry so don’t be surprised if I tell you we almost finished that entire box of chicken (only 1 chicken breast and drumstick left at the end)

Oh well fingers crossed for now! Not sure if I’ll nail this one or if I do but will they be ok for me not be able to start right away since I’ll be somewhere for a week starting next week.

Do you have a good first instinct when visiting a new place?
