Beef Steak with Balsamic Mushroom Sauce
I love mushrooms a lot and always want to find a super easy way to make mushroom sauce with minimal effort. Yeah I know, I am a lazy cook 😛
Beef Steak with Balsamic Mushroom Sauce
Ingredients:
1 lbs top sirloin beef – thinly sliced, marinated with “Tobacco” Spice Rub Seasonings for about 1 hour or overnight
8 oz cello mushrooms -chopped
1/8-1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
1/2 cup chopped onion
1 shallot- minced
3 green onion stalks -minced
1-2 Tbsp avocado oil
Directions:
1. Heat the skillet in medium high with 1 Tbsp avocado oil – cook the beef for about 3 minutes on each side (for well done) or less if you prefer medium rare – set aside
2. Pour another 1 Tbsp avocado oil on the skillet at medium high heat – saute the chopped onions, shallots and some of the minced green onions (reserve some for later) until fragrant
3. Mix in the chopped mushrooms – cook until mushrooms turned brown(Tips: You might be tempted to add some water, but DON’T or you’ll end up with watery dish)
4. When the mushrooms start to get brown, pour in the balsamic vinegar – turn up the heat to high heat to cook the balsamic vinegar until it thickens- stir constantly to avoid the sauce to get burned
5. Pour the mushrooms on top of the beef steaks, top with the remaining minced green onions.
