A Special Breakfast
Today’s breakfast was pretty special. Unfortunately the picture doesn’t do the justice.
I know you must be wondering what’s so special about this breakfast? 2 egg omelet with coconut butter, steamed chopped carrots and squash, a bowl of bone broth oxtail soup and a cup of tea looked just like my typical breakfast, right?
Well ok that pastured-raised beef hotdog I got from Whole Paycheck isn’t my typical breakfast, but oh well.
Well here’s a little story behind this:
Yesterday Hubby mentioned how we didn’t spend time having a meal together lately, not even weekends too. So he proposed the idea for us having a breakfast together today.
He said: “I will get up at 4 am just like you usually do just so I could have breakfast with you!”
I usually get up around 4 am to squeeze in my workout, but I usually sleep in a bit until 5 am if I am not planning to workout. But just for today, I got up at 4 am just so we could have a breakfast together!
We cooked and prepared our breakfast just similarly how we usually do during weekend. Funny thing is it didn’t feel like having a breakfast because the sky was still so dark outside…haha!
We talked about various stuff from food, fitness, work, health, and other general stuff. Before we knew it, it was time for me catch the 6am train to work.
I felt a bit guilty leaving all the dirty dishes to him to wash.
Overall it felt really nice to sit down and having a breakfast together with hubby and it was something that we might want to do once in a blue moon during weekday. Having a nice meal before going to work surely lift up my mood and makes me ready to face anything for the day..HA!
What’s something special that you and your significant other ever done together?

I love grass-fed dogs! 😛
that is so sweet of your hubby!
aww! that’s sweet 🙂 i know that it can be really hard sometimes to make time for your sig other when it’s crazy at work or with other obligations that we find ourselves tied to but i try to make a date night or schedule a time that we can just take a walk together or go for coffee and talk. i feel more connected and i know that kind of intimacy deepens our relationship and makes it stronger as we grow older and face bigger challenges!
Thank you! You totally said all 🙂
