After A Long Hiatus…
Howdy reader(s)!
I am totally aware that I’ve been taking quite a long break from posting. There were lots of things been going on but I won’t bore you to death with a super LONG post so why don’t I just give you some highlights by using pictures, video with some words?
In case you’ve been wondering, I AM STILL going strong with my Carb Nite® Solution protocol. Gee, I think it’s been around 9 months and before I realize, it’ll be a year soon! Time surely flies!
For those who’ve clicked on the link and bought the CNS e-book, I just want to let you know that Debby, my online trainer is very thankful with your support. If you need help having a well knowledgeable coach for your Carb Nite Solution, Carb-Backloading or any nutrition consultation, contact her.
I have been enjoying baking gluten-free goodies for my Carb Nite. Here are some of my favorites so far:
Gluten-Free Muffins
Gluten-Free Ritz Crackers
The recipes are courtesy of Debby K so stay tuned for recipes on her blog!
Training-wise I’ve been enjoying doing Barbell Glute Bridge and Barbell Hip Thrust!
Plus Kettlebell at Long Beach Kettlebell Club every Sunday!
June 9 was our 6th Wedding Anniversary. We didn’t do anything fancy nor going out to eat. Instead we ordered a nice grass-fed flank steak meat from Tendergrass Farms and cooked them ourselves!
Left: His Plate (6 oz flank steak with puree squash) / Right: Her Plate (5 oz flank steak with steamed broccoli topped with 1 Tbsp grass-fed butter)
Btw I finally bought a slow cooker! (yea I know how can I be more lame than not getting it any sooner??)
It took quite sometime to figure out the right timing for cooking. First time cooking these chicken, they were way too soft. Not bad but I didn’t quite enjoy the dryness of it. But I’m getting a hang on it. Plus Hubby was super happy that we could have a ready-to-eat protein dish once he got home so he only needs to cook the side dishes like veggies.
Oh also I’ll be posting this recipe anytime soon. I’ve been in the groove making these Ultra-Low Carb Protein & Fat Patties. Perfect for snack, breakfast or on the go.
Have a great weekend!
