The Green Truck & The Spaceship
I don’t usually go out for lunch but once in a blue moon, I’d love to take a little walk to the food truck area which is only a couple blocks away from my work place.
I started to get more interested in The Green Truck after reading Nom Nom Paleo’s 2012 Reebok CrossFit Games post a while back and was quite delightful that they actually always stopped by the area around my workplace from Monday-Friday during lunch time.
First time, I ordered their Cali bowl topped with grass-fed beef burger (no buns) with sweet potato fries. Their kale salad was great and it was my first time trying quinoa, which wasn’t bad actually. Portion wise, they were quite hefty and I actually couldn’t really finish the salad (ate all the kales and beets but left off most of the quinoa) and the fries. Their fries were so good.
Recently I went there again on Thursday since I’ve been craving for their sweet potato fries. This time I actually asked one of the worker whether they could customize their Cali bowl like the way they did at the 2012 CrossFit Games. She asked me what was served I just rattled the Cali bowl minus the quinoa topped with grass-fed beef burger (no buns) with a side of sweet potato fries. This time I really emphasized to have half order of the fries or else I wouldn’t be able to finish it like last time.
Surely enough, they customized it for me and even added some avocado! Yum! This time I finished everything and kept me full for the entire day and almost made me wanted to skip dinner.
I had a little chat with the girl who worked there and I suggested that they might want to look into switching their cooking oil from canola to coconut oil. Just saying. 🙂
Lastly, yesterday we had quite a sight from our office building.
It’s a space ship! It flew around Nor Cal to Hollywood area before it landed on LAX and will be transferred to California Science Museum as a display.
I thought it was silly to have big news coverage on this space ship sight seeing but in the end I was one of those peeps who also wanted to have a glimpse and took a picture of it, even though it only looks like a tiny white dot on the sky.

Ooohh I’ve never seen a space ship! So cool! 😀
The Green Truck is a great idea! I wish there were more such local and organic food offers, and something like that at all over here!
mmmm that looks great! food trucks are starting to pick up here in pittsburgh. the main issue is the parking ordiances that must be worked out in the city. our streets are SOOOO congested as it is! haha i would hate to be the pilot flying that thing in…it looks so awkward!
