Whole30: Day 29 – Sad and Freaked Out
I know this post might not resonate as much to my Whole30 challenge but I just need to get it out from my system, which hopefully makes me feel a teeny bit better.
Remember my computer problem that I mentioned yesterday? Well I think I rejoiced waaay too early as the problem is STILL EXIST! For example, this morning when I tried to access Bodyrock.tv and some other pages using Firefox 5 and for some reason they weren’t rendered properly – more like it only displayed the html codes.
Apparently my computer was infected with this Windows XP Anti-Virus 2012
It interferes with my web browsers mostly and I’ve tried to remove it using Anti spyware software and STILL NOT working! My other solution was to just reinstall my Operating System before realizing that I have no f*ing clue where the hell I put the installation CD!
GREAT!
After some researching, another way to remove this spyware is to run Windows in Safe Mode and then use the Anti Spyware software to remove it. As I’m typing this, I’m having some Malware removal doing it – fingers crossed this will finally remove ALL of the spyware!
Ok enough boring techie talk! I apologize for this little rant, but this whole computer thing really frustrates me. Good thing I still can use my laptop to update this otherwise you might think I am in some kind of Whole30 withdrawal syndrome, huh?
Morning workout -check! I picked a short one today as to take it a bit easy and will tackle the killer one on Monday.
Post workout snack – the usual (protein + starchy carbs)
I made some chicken dish which was inspired by Nom Nom Paleo’s Braised Chicken Drumsticks with Artichokes and Pearl Onions
My lunch and dinner plates were EXACTLY the same so I didn’t bother to snap another pic for my dinner plate
To ease up my frustration, I chomped down a tennis ball size yellow peach plus snacking on SeaSnax!
On another note, our newly bought gold fish was found DEAD today π We used to have one gold fish that has been around with us for about 4-5 years (it grew from a small to pretty big and it died couple weeks ago). We went out and bought another one, and sadly he didn’t last more than 3 weeks. π
To top this all, I got a call from a recruiter regarding a job posting that I applied to and he mentioned something he will forward me the info about the hiring company but until the end of the day, I received NOTHING in my email. BLAH. Did he just joke around with me or what?
Whole30: Day 29 – Food wise, everything was great. Live situation wise, not so great…one bad thing after another..Gosh, please let it stops!
What’s your worst computer problem ever?

Hi JOS !!!
Fortunately, I have a very tough experience with Windows 7 Installations… on 3 different computers, w/ different versions (one of them was even portable!)
I’ve installed all of the versions on all of the computers using the same technique: the USB flash Drive.
So if you have one, I would highly reccomend you using this safe installing method. it’s pretty simple once you understand the steps. I’ve even wrote down all of the exact acts I was doing to document the proccess.
So if you have a USB flash driver (I’ll reccomend higher then 4GB memory) then contact me through email & I’ll try to help you as much as I can… well I strongly hoping it’ll work for you !!! I owe you so much…
WIsh you luck !!! <3 BR Beth
BTW The Avocados R so expensive here right now !!! how do you get ’em ? or maybe it’s not expensive for where you live ?
BTW2: Im using Google Chrome as my Internet Explorer (sorry for all the comments… I can’t edit ’em (:)
*** Internet BROWSER !!! (sorry..!!)
Gah, viruses are the worst! I had one three two years ago that crashed my old laptop because it constantly ran various programs and made the computer overheat and die. π
Oh, and I’m so sorry about the goldfish and job thing! I hope the bad luck has stuck to that day!
*hugs*
Oh, you won’t belive what just happened to me… I was rearranging my Gmail inbox, and I accidentally deleted ALL MY EMAIL!!!!!!! I only have a few left, but these are really not important. I am so frustrated right now!!!!
GUSSSHHH !!! HOLLY CRAPPP !!!
This might be the LAST thing I’ll EVER wish happen’ to me ):
Im so sorry Nina !!! You can still try find your deleted emails in “garbage/rubbish” button (if you see somthin’ like this (:)
wow Im hoping so badly it didn’t completely deleted…
Hi Jos, I am sorry about your computer issues.. π Me being a real computer geek since I was like 10 years old, I ALWAYS recommend using a really good antivirus to everyone!!! The best in my opinion is NOD32 by Eset (not because my dad works for the company, we were using it waaaaaaaay before he started working there). For these little spyware buggies I use Lavasoft’s Ad-Aware, works best in my opinion. I also do use C-Cleaner by Piriform to “clean” my PC once a week. I think having a good protective software is really important because once data is lost, there is nothing you can do. I used to reinstall my OS a lot in the past (I just loved the long process of reainstalling, installing all sw again, trying different versions of OS), but since Windows 7 came, I didn’t reinstall once. Love this OS, Vista sucked and I really can’t work in Linux. I used to work on Mac in my first job ever, but Macs are really not that usual here. My worst PC problem was when I was reainstalling my PC for the last time and I copied all my important data to an external hard disc, reinstalled the machine and when I wanted to copy my important data back, the HDD broke and data was unreadable. Nothing helped, so I lost a lot of things, and I don’t even remember all that was on the HDD, I had a lot of music, graphics, pc game saves, personal photos and stuff like that…
I hope you will fix your issues soon! And do not hesitate to invest in a really good antivirus, it is worth it 100%!
Love ya! π
Hi there!
I’ve been following your blog for some time now, practically since you began your Whole 30 π Fellow BodyRocker here btw π
I just wanted to say, I had the same problem some weeks ago and I used Loaris Trojan Remover to wipe it out of my system, and thanks to the gods it worked! So I think you can calm down, this problem is easyer to solve than you would think π
Cheers,
Anita
