Staying Still and Sweating
As I am typing this post, I’m continuously sweating non stop. Not like a bucket of sweats but still, my computer room felt like a sauna here. Currently the temperature outside might be around 90-100°F.
Anyway, just a quick post of my partial eats of the day since later tonight Hubby K and I will be at our friend’s place for a double birthday potluck.
I already finished whipped up 3 Paleo friendly dishes to bring.
A generous amount of Meat Sauce (Strained ground beef cooked in Homemade Tomato Sauce)
Rotisserie Chicken marinated with Sunny Herb Seasonings (Hubby K will cut them into pieces once it cools down a bit)
Cut up super sweet cantaloupe splashed with freshly squeezed lemon juice
Originally I’d bring some guacamole but after seeing that huge container full of meat sauce, I don’t think guacamole is necessary any longer. Besides in this super hot and dry weather, I’m kinda craving for something cold and sweet thus I decided to bring a cut up cantaloupe.
No workout for the day (weekend is my off workout time) so I kept breakfast simple: over well eggs seasoned with Sunny Herb Seasonings and chipotle pepper, fried in Kerrygold butter.. YUM!
Since I had extra ground beef from the meat sauce, I just sauteed it with some curry powder and chipotle pepper. Roasted more carrots, steamed some Chinese greens and topped everything with colorful cherry tomatoes I just got today from Farmer’s Market and a whole avocado, my lunch plate was ready!
Alright, time to hit a super cold shower! I’ll post up more food porn from the potluck tomorrow!
How do you stay cool in the heat?

I feel with you! We’ve had the same brutal heat over here as well, but today it has cooled down fortunately. I had to get my fan out to survive working at my desk.
