Fireworks everywhere, sushi rolls and shopping
How’s everyone 4th of July so far? Me here sitting in front of my computer, typing this post and hearing tons of fireworks everywhere around my neighborhood area (plus music and barking dogs haha). I could see them from my window though. Seriously, I was hoping to go sleep early tonight so I could get up early for my beach jog tomorrow. We didn’t go this morning, despite I slept at 9:30 pm ..haha…It’s a long weekend and we decided to sleep in a bit and glad we did!
But I still managed to do my scheduled P90X workout: Ab Ripper X, Chest Shoulders and Triceps and ChaLean Extreme I’ve Got Abs. Before that, I had a little breakfast and waited about 1.5-2 hours.
I felt a bit creative for lunch so I made some brown rice sushi roll filled with egg omelet, raw carrots and some spring mix veggies. Turned out pretty good!
I made total 2 sushi roll but not enough brown rice to make another one and still had some carrot slices and omelet left. So I made 3 veggie spring rolls instead. Didn’t turn out as pretty and neat as the sushi roll, but still edible 😀
Some baked chicken that I marinated yesterday and a big bowl of spring mix salad (no pic)
Finally, we got our bar stools from Living Spaces! We’ve been dragging on this forever and today we decided to get it!
We got three of these in black. The bummer part was they didn’t have it in their warehouse here and we had to wait until Wednesday to pick it up. DOH. What’s up with their slogan: “Buy today, Enjoy Tonight?” Anyway, we’re not in rush of the bar stools. We still didn’t get our couch yet.
After finished shopping our furniture, we went to Ken’s parents place for a dinner. Surprise, surprise, my mother in law also made sushi rolls!
I had the stuff in moderation..mainly I just picked most of the veggies, 3 sushi rolls and drank 2 bowls of the soup. Basically after all those I was pretty full already. Not to mention I snacked a bit on my crackers I made yesterday and some golden raisins before I left the house earlier.
The fireworks are still going on now along with some loud Mexican music and start driving me crazy. Seriously I am so sleepy and tired and yet can’t sleep with all these noises. I am a super light sleeper and I can’t sleep with noises around me. I know it’s holiday and people celebrating but sometimes I just can’t stand it. Oh well, maybe I’ll try to cover up my ears and hopefully I can tune out all these noises.
Question: Are you a light sleeper?
