You have to tried making lotus root chips. These are my favorite, they taste exactly like regular potatoe chips. Lay them out on a cookie sheet, season and sprinkle with some oil toss them in and make ’em crunchy!

I’ve tried lotus roots only once, but I didn’t like them no much. 🙁 I think it may have been because bought them in a can, I see if I can get fresh ones and try them again. 🙂

What does lotus root taste like?

    1. Jos
Jos at |’s hard to describe but I’ll try my best. If it’s cooked properly (kinda “al dente”), it has a hint of sweetness – kinda like crunchy potato but not starchy..Hope it makes sense
